Meet the Sandon Manor Team
Behind every unforgettable wedding, luxury stay, business retreat and celebration at Sandon Manor is a passionate team who genuinely love welcoming guests to our beautiful family estate. From the directors who grew up here to the friendly faces you’ll meet during your stay, every member of our team plays an important role in creating the relaxed, stylish and memorable experiences that make Sandon Manor so special.
As a family-run estate, we believe hospitality is all about people. Whether you’re planning your dream wedding, escaping for a luxury countryside stay or bringing your team together for an inspiring offsite, you’ll always be looked after by people who know Sandon Manor inside out and genuinely care about making your time here extraordinary.
Kate Redfern
Kate grew up at Sandon Manor House, where family gatherings, celebrations and entertaining have always been part of everyday life. Those memories inspired the vision behind Sandon Manor today – creating a place where families, friends and colleagues can come together to celebrate, connect and spend meaningful time together.
After marrying at Sandon Manor herself, Kate co-founded Sandon Manor’s weddings, luxury accommodation and business retreat offering alongside her brother, Mark. As well as overseeing the estate, Kate is also the creative force behind the interiors, personally designing each of the beautifully restored properties. Her eye for timeless design, relaxed luxury and thoughtful detail is reflected throughout the Manor House, Grain Barn and Dovecote, giving every guest a stay that feels both elegant and effortlessly welcoming.
Mark Faure Walker
Mark and Kate are bother and sister and Mark is the other half of the vision behind Sandon Manor. Having grown up exploring every corner of the estate, he shares the family’s deep connection to both its history and future.
Mark was the first member of the family to celebrate his own wedding in the Medieval Barn, long before it became the award-winning venue guests enjoy today. He has also led the estate’s ambitious rewilding project, transforming large areas into thriving natural habitats that wedding guests, holidaymakers and business retreat groups can all enjoy during their stay. His passion for conservation ensures Sandon Manor continues to balance beautiful hospitality with a long-term commitment to restoring nature.
Louise Bruning
Louise is the calm, organised presence behind so much of what happens at Sandon Manor. As Operations and Events Manager, she keeps everything running seamlessly while making sure every guest feels relaxed and looked after from the moment they arrive.
Whether she’s helping couples plan their wedding weekend, welcoming guests staying on the estate or coordinating business retreats and offsite events, Louise’s warm approach and exceptional organisation help create the effortless experience that Sandon Manor is known for.
Tom Wylds
Tom is the person who ensures every wedding, celebration and event comes together perfectly on the day. As Venue Manager, he oversees the smooth running of each occasion, allowing guests to simply relax and enjoy every moment.
With a passion for live events and production, Tom also looks after all of Sandon Manor’s audiovisual systems, music and technical elements, ensuring everything from heartfelt speeches and presentations to dancing in the club room runs without a hitch.
Caitlin Kaba
Caitlin brings creativity and energy to the Sandon Manor team. She helps welcome couples to Sandon Manor, supports the events team and captures the day-to-day life of the estate across Sandon Manor’s social media channels.
Caitlin also looks after guest experiences in our outdoor spa, ensuring everything is beautifully prepared for visitors enjoying the wood-fired hot tubs, cedar sauna and cold plunge pool. Whether welcoming wedding guests, business retreat groups unwinding after a productive day or those enjoying a countryside escape, Caitlin’s enthusiasm shines through in everything she does.
Roger & Marianne Wick
Roger, affectionately known as Rog, is responsible for managing Sandon Manor’s working farm, organic land and expanding nature reserves. His work plays a huge role in preserving the estate’s beautiful countryside while supporting the ongoing rewilding programme. Living close by means Rog is never far away from guests when they need anything, caring for the estate’s cattle, maintaining the landscape and always lending a helping hand wherever it’s needed. His dedication helps ensure both the land and the people visiting it are well looked after.
Marianne has been part of the Sandon Manor family for many years and knows the estate’s history. Together with Roger, she lives close to the estate, meaning help is always nearby for our guests. Marianne lovingly prepares each property before every stay, ensuring every room in the Manor, Dovecote & Grain Barn is immaculate, welcoming and ready for guests to relax from the moment they walk through the door. Whether guests are staying for a wedding, family celebration or business retreat, her warmth, attention to detail and genuine hospitality make everyone feel instantly at home.
Andy Darton
Andy is responsible for keeping the estate looking its absolute best throughout the seasons. From the beautifully maintained gardens to the immaculate surroundings of our accommodation and event spaces, his care and attention can be seen everywhere across Sandon Manor.
Living locally in Sandon, Andy takes enormous pride in presenting the estate exactly as guests expect – beautifully cared for, welcoming and always looking its very best.
Aimee Whittington
